The Trads
…From Away

From Away began as “The Trads”, with Peter Taylor, Kristan Couture and Graham Lindsey.  In 2019 Kristan and Graham played a tour in Sweden, and included a guitarist in the mix – and they toured under the name “The Trads”, however before we arrived at the festival we realized that we had a different sound from what everyone in Canada knew… so instead, we created a second band – called From Away.

Then we realized that the bands, together, sounded great together as well – and in January 2020 we decided that we would henceforth be known as From Away, and “The Trads” would not be used any longer.
